Sonic Arts Gallery II Concert Program. The Microtonics (Brian McLaren and Jonathan Glasier) performing pieces exploring harmonic series tunings, 17-tone equal temperament, and 19-tone equal temperament. October 1994.

Sonic Arts Gallery II (SAG II) was opened in 1994 in the South Park neighborhood of San Diego in a storefront of a 1930s commercial . This new venue was no longer an exhibit space, but a music studio and concert space. The concerts continued for two more years and then the music studio became themajor activity. Six MP3 albums of improvised electronic and electro-acoustic music were produced until 2010. This music was recorded and mastered by studio engineer Brink McGoogy (John McBryde). The Sonic Art Gallery ” went through two evolutions . In 1997, after shopping for antiques for a relative, we ended up with a plethora of mid-century American Pottery.

Sonic Arts Gallery became an Antique Store. In 2015 after the rent on the space quadrupled, the studio was folded and I took on a partner and SAG II became a crystal and mineral store until the end of 2019.
